We're simplifying Widget configuration this month, so get excited about a Widget code generator and one custom CSS file to rule them all. And, of course, we included some enhancements and bug fixes.
Widget Simplification
- *NEW* Simplified customization by allowing Users to set up a single, universal CSS file for all of their Widgets rather than applying CSS on a widget-by-widget basis. Already customize your CSS? Never fear! Your Widget-specific customization will continue to work.
- *NEW* Added additional HTML styling elements so Users can customize individual lines on Widget cards rather than styling the entire card as one element.
- *NEW* The Widget Code Generator allows Users to quickly generate Widget code snippets that can be copied and pasted into websites. See Quick Start for Widgets to check it out. Oh, and to make it even easier, each Widget's Configuring page has a Widget Code Generator for that Widget.
Multiple Widgets
- Enhanced all Widget dropdowns to cache lookup results for five minutes.
- Fixed an issue where Widgets truncated phone numbers incorrectly by including the leading "1" and not including the final number.
Communication Widgets
- Fixed an issue where double-clicking the submit button submitted duplicate responses in the Prayer & Feedback Widget.
Event Widgets
- Moved the Volunteer button on the Event Details & Registration Widget for consistency.
- Fixed an issue where selecting Register & Checkout in the Event Details & Register Widget did not open the Invoice Details & Checkout Widget when the event had a Visibility Level of "2-Staff Only."
Mission Trip Widgets
- Relocated the already applied warning message so that it appears directly under the Contact fields for consistency and clarity.
User Widgets
- Enhanced the My Household Widget so that a Household record will be created for Users who access the Widget without a Household.
- Fixed an issue where the Country field on the Custom Form Widget did not honor the language preference selected in the Language/Local Widget.
