The following Notifications will now use Templates:

Processes, Item Notifications, and User Account will be updated to use Templates in the the next Platform release.

Nightly Routine Changes
  • *New* Opportunity Response Notification now includes Heads of Household associated via Other Household when Send to Heads = True. Note: Heads of Household associated via Other Household must have Household Type 'Non-Custodial Parent' with an active relationship (no end-date) to be included.
  • *New* Opportunity Reminder Notification now includes Heads of Household associated via Other Household when Send to Heads = True. Note: Heads of Household associated via Other Household must have Household Type 'Non-Custodial Parent' with an active relationship (no end-date) to be included.
  • *New* Event Registrant Notification now includes Heads of Household associated via Other Household when Send to Heads = True. Note: Heads of Household associated via Other Household must have Household Type 'Non-Custodial Parent' with an active relationship (no end-date) to be included.
  • *New* Event Reminder Notification now includes Heads of Household associated via Other Household when Send to Heads = True. Note: Heads of Household associated via Other Household must have Household Type 'Non-Custodial Parent' with an active relationship (no end-date) to be included.
  • *New* Event Reminder Notification can now include Item Quantity via merge field [Option_Title_Qty].
  • Enhanced Message Recap Notification to include percentages as well as counts for each status. 
  • Enhanced details included under [Volunteer_List] for Background Check Needed Notification to indicate which Ministry requested the background check. 
  • Enhanced details included under [Volunteer_List] for Background Check Needed Notification to indicate Background Check Type.
  • Enhanced Event Attendee Notification to send emails through the Platform rather than DBMail.  
  • Enhanced Form Response Notification to send emails through the Platform rather than DBMail.  
  • Enhanced Opportunity record pick-lists "Response Message" and "Optional Reminder Message" to source from Templates rather than Messages. Note: No action needed. Messages set in these fields have been created as Templates for you. The Template names are appended with "Used by Notification".
  • Enhanced Configuration Setting "OpportunityReminderNotificationMessageID" to correspond with Templates rather than Messages. Note: No action needed. The Message set in this Config Setting has been created as a Template for you. The Template name is appended with "Used by Notification".
  • Enhanced Event record pick-lists "Registrant Message", "Optional Reminder Message", and "Attendee Message" to source from Templates rather than Messages. Note: No action needed. Messages set in these fields have been created as Templates for you. The Template names are appended with "Used by Notification".
  • Enhanced Configuration Setting "EventReminderNotificationMessageID" to correspond with Templates rather than Messages. Note: No action needed. The Message set in this Config Setting has been created as a Template for you. The Template name is appended with "Used by Notification".
  • Enhanced Form record pick-list "Response Message" to source from Templates rather than Messages. Note: No action needed. The Message set in this field has been created as a Template for you. The Template name is appended with "Used by Notification".

  • Fixed an issue where Donations made toward Programs with "Omit From Engagement Giving" = True were included rather than excluded in the Participant Engagement Routine. 
Any Message currently configured for one of the pick-lists or Configuration Settings mentioned above has been copied over to Templates. No action is required.
If you have a custom routine, it will continue to use Messages rather than Templates. Note: If your custom routine is based off of our standard Configuration Setting, this is a breaking change. If needed or desired, contact Support to engage PS for an estimate to change or update your custom routine.
Report Stored Procedure Change Only
  • Fixed an issue where last Background Check for Background Check Needed Notification was determined by ID, rather than date, which at times caused older Background Checks to be included.
  • Fixed an issue where reports "Procedure Manual" and "Selected Procedure Manual" returned an error. 
  • Fixed an issue where Participants who registered for multiple Event Series in a single day were only added to future Events for the last Series in which they registered. 
  • Fixed an issue where future Participants also appeared under the "Current" filter in the Selected Group Nametags: Avery 5160 report. 
Database Object Change
  • *New* Added 3 new views to Templates which indicate when a Template is used by: 1) a Configuration Setting; 2) an Event, or 3) an Opportunity.
  • Enhanced tool tips for pick-lists which previously referenced "Messages" and now reference "Templates". 
  • Fixed an issue where the view entitled "Current Congregations (Congregations Allowed)" on the Congregations page referenced the deprecated field "Congregation Filter."
  • Fixed an issue where duplicate, unfiltered Pages existed for Sub-Pages which referenced "Participation_Details" and "dp_User_Charts". 
  • Enhanced naming convention for Pages in the Hidden Pages Page Section which were recently created to support Sub-Page schema changes.
  • Enhanced Recipient List when the New Message Tool is launched from Events to pre-populate Sub-Page View "Registered".
  • Enhanced Recipient List when the New Message Tool is launched from Publications to pre-populate Sub-Page View "Current Subscribers". 
  • Enhanced Publications to be included in Global Search results. This enhancement also makes Publications available in the Page drop-down of the New Message Tool regardless of which Page the tool is launched from. 
New System Setup Items 
  • *New* Added several Sub-Page Views and - along with a handful of existing Sub-Page Views - configured these to appear in the Recipients List of the New Message Tool. Affects key Pages including Households, Opportunities, Milestones, and Forms.
