Set Up Curriculum

To add curriculum to your app, there are a few values you'll need to add to MinistryPlatform. Didn't remember to add them? No problem!  But set yourself up for success by adding these values ahead of time. Once you've set up the foundational elements, you can easily add new curriculum.

Media Type

When you set up your curriculum, you'll be able to add links to video, audio, a webpage, or PDF. Add the media type to the Platform so you can add that to your curriculum link.

1. PocketPlatform > Media Type
2. New Media Type
3. Add the media type
4. Save

Icon

When you add your curriculum, you'll also add a icon so your Group leaders can tell what type of curriculum they're dealing with at a glance.

1. PocketPlatform > Icons
2. New Icon
3. Add a Font Awesome Icon name.
4. Save

Curriculum Link Type

1. PocketPlatform > Curriculum Link Types
2. New Curriculum Link Type
3. Add
   • Curriculum Link Type
   • Icon
   • Media Type

Curriculum

Add your curriculum to MinistryPlatform.

1. PocketPlatform > Curriculum
2. New Curriculum
3. Create a new record for each lesson or meeting. Give it a good title and then enter the lesson notes, facilitator questions, scripture passages, etc.
4. Save
5. Links tab > New Curriculum Link
6. Add
   • Link Type: Select the Link Type from the dropdown
   • Link URL: The URL for the curriculum
   • Status: Draft, Hidden, Published
   • Position: The order this link should appear in
7. Save

Add Curriculum to a Group Meeting

After you've added your curriculum to the Platform, you'll need to add it to the specific group meeting it's associated with. Here's how.

1. Facilities > Event Groups
2. Select the Group your adding curriculum to
3. Edit
4. Add your curriculum to the "Curriculum" dropdown. The curriculum you added will be available to select.
5. Save
