Check-In Kiosk

  • *New* Optional 'Clean Screen' button disables touch screen for 8 seconds to allow cleaning in between check-ins. Wipe down the kiosk without triggering the touch screen!
  • Enhanced QR codes to be more consistent with various scanners. This lays the groundwork for future enhancements to Pre-Check by Pocket Platform and Online Giving.
  • Enhanced the Event Participant record to include Group Role when the Participant checks in through an expected Group.
  • Fixed an issue where Participants were intermittently not returned by Pre-Check in unattended mode when multiple Events were selected – individually or by Ministry – and each Event was set to Search Result "Allow Expected Only (Show Expected Only)."
  • Fixed an issue where results still appeared in check-in after end-dating an "Other Household" record.
  • Fixed an issue where lengthy Care Note Prompts overlapped the text field within the dialog box. Text now wraps and allows for up to 255 characters.
  • Fixed an issue where an intermittent error appeared after each check-in, resulting in the user needing to close and reopen the browser.
Note: The Clean Screen option will be turned on with this update. Want to turn it off? Go to Administration > Configuration Settings and set CIM,ShowCleanScreen to 'False.' See Kiosk Themes to learn more about the setting up your check-in kiosk.

Classroom Manager

  • Fixed an issue where an Attribute could not be added to the same Participant multiple times if it was the only Attribute under the Attribute Type configured to appear in check-in.
  • Fixed an issue where Configuration Settings for Participant Call Numbers were not honored.

Admin Console

  • Enhanced the Check-In Administrator Security Role description to clarify it does not include access to Themes or Labels. We promise you can let volunteers see load balances, etc. without giving them access to your carefully designed themes and label sets ;)
  • Enhanced Security Codes to exclude newly identified number combinations that could be interpreted as inappropriate.
  • Enhanced the 'By Group' view of labels to be sorted alphabetically.
  • Fixed an issue where editing the Theme Name (and making no other edits) did not prompt the save button.
  • Fixed an issue where Zebra printers cut after each label (instead of the end of the print job) when cutter settings were enabled.
  • Fixed an issue where check-in and the print service were affected when the server and kiosk time were out of sync, by adding a warning message for administrators to ensure time synchronization. Note: A difference of just a few minutes between the server and kiosk time can cause an issue with printing.
Action May Be Required: We strongly recommend launching your kiosks after the update and before your next check-in event to ensure that your kiosk clock and server clock are in sync. If you don't see the below warning, you're good to go! If you do, simply sync the clocks and relaunch. That way you'll have plenty of time to adjust before parents with antsy kids are waiting ;)

Note: No Print Service or AutoURL updates are needed as a result of this release. And there was much rejoicing in the land!
