We have designated certain security roles as "Discounted." If your Users are granted one, two, or three of these roles, they will cost less each month in user support. But note: If they have four or more such roles OR if they have any other security roles, they will be normal secured users.

As of April 1, 2020, churches will be automatically enrolled in the Discounted User Program at their next renewal, provided they are paying the current retail rate for their edition of MinistryPlatform.

Discounted Secured Users

Users who have 3 or fewer of these security roles will qualify for a discount. The price for a discounted user is different depending on your edition:

• Shared Cloud: $2/User/Month (vs $10/user)
• Self Hosted or Dedicated Cloud: $1/User/Month (vs $5/user)

Security Roles that currently qualify:

• MyCallsPortalPage 
• CareLife Case Manager
• CareLife Case Administrator

MyCallsPortalPage may need to be configured as a discounted role, you can check to see if it is in the Discounted Roles page view:

Provided your church has the Discounted Users Program enabled in the ACST Billing System, the Users With Security Roles page view displays which users qualify as discounted users:

We will evaluate additional security roles we may include as discounted roles in the future. 

3rd Party Custom Development

If you are working with one of our partners to build an application for your church that leverages security roles in MinistryPlatform, contact Support to inquire about making those security roles discounted roles. Please note that the scope of discounted roles needs to be small in terms of the data they can read and update.  Also, it must be used exclusively outside of MinistryPlatform.
